MOVIE ANALYSIS UPDATE

**Posted by dr.dray at 7:55 PM

Hope you guys had a great holiday!

But, sadly, its back to AIT and you have to submit a harder assignment than your previous one.

Remember: If you got long comments for your Scene Analysis, see it as help and a guide for your Movie Analysis, correct those mistakes and try to score better.

UPDATES:
  • KILL BILL 2 is now an option to write about for any question listed. It is part of KILL BILL 1 anyway, so you are allowed to choose this.

  • BLACK SWAN is the new film by Darren Aronofsky. Cinema D were lucky enough to watch it this week as they had a spare class, but anyone who hasn't seen the film yet, you can grab a copy (shhh) from me if you wish to use it for Question 4. Just remember, you need to explain how Aronofsky is an auteur based on this film and his other film of study, REQUIEM FOR A DREAM.

  • SOMEWHERE is also released in Cinemas, unfortunately we do not have a copy of it yet, but if you wish to write about Sofia Coppola for Question 4, this would be a good movie to reference. It is deeply linked with LOST IN TRANSLATION, if you request early that you want to use this film, then we can get a copy for you.
Please don't forget that its 2000 words minimum (not letters!) and try to aim for creative writing - Newspaper/magazine article, director interview, website, etc.
