Overview:
I choice the scene is the opening of the movie from [00:00:20 - oo:01:42]. This short scene is about the Bride lying on the floor wiht blood and gasping for breath. The unseen Bill is talking with Bride. As Bride attempts to tell him "it is your baby", Bill shoots her in the side of the head.
Mise-en-scene:
Setting:
The setting we can know frome the sound that the unseen Bill walking and can see Bride lying on the floor. Therefore it is an interior, in a dark room. We cannot see what Bride is wearing because is a POV from unseen Bill. We only can see Bride's face. For unseen Bill, when he is walking to Bride, he is wearing the leather shoes, the hand is holding a small tower with bracelet.
Lighting:
The light is at the top in the room , because it is an interior, we can see Bride's face clearly and the scene using all black and white, so we cannot see any day lighting even we dont't know it is day or night.
Color:
The color in this short scene is using all black and white. It shows taht the screen may come frome the old memory of somebody. Mabye is from Bill.
Sound:
About the sound in this scene, we can hear the footsteps of Bill from far to close. At the same time we also can hear breating from Bride. Bill was talking to Bride and at the last second, afther Bride said "it is your boby" we can hear "bang" the gunfire. And it is quite surrounding the room.

Actor Performance:
At [00:00:20 - 00:00:32] we can see Bride is full of painful on her face and keep breathing. We can hear the high pitch breating voice from Bride beacuse of her feeling. After she heard unseen Bill is coming, at [00:00:36 - 00:00:57] she become fear and try to avoid the hand from Bill. From [00:00:58 - 00:01:31] we can see Bride is not avoiding Bill anymore but she is sadness and htere are tears come from her eyes. But after [00:01:32 - 00:01:40] on Bride's face it turns to fear and horror again. Even though we cannot ssee the face expression from Bill but we can know what Bill want to do and what is his face expression according to the face expression from Bride. The emotion is changing between the actions and talking from Bill.

Character Analysis:
There are two characters in this scene. One is Bride the other is unseen Bill. I think Bride and Bill was couple, becuase at the last minutes of this scene Bride said "it is your baby". As I said before, the face expression on Bride is changing a lot, painful - fear - sadness - fear. And it is all depend on what Bill is doing. Bride seems like was controlled by Bill. Such as at [00:00:47 - 00:01:16] although Bride is avoid Bill, she cannot resist and just can let Bill to clear the blood on her face. Bill is an unseen character in this scene, but he controls the main initiative. We just can see his foot and hand with towel and bracelet.

In this short scene, director use all close up (CU) to go through this opening of the movie. We can see clearly about the face expression of Bride, it is more touch our heart that feel what Bride's feeling. Also by using close up it is to emphasize and focus on one character which means Bride.
Camera Angle:
Hight angle is the mainly camera angle in this scene, except for the shot in [00:00:32 - 00:00:35] Bill walking is use straight on. Also we can know that the angle is from Bill's eyes. Bride is lying on the floor and Bill may squat at te front of Bride. Therefore this scene is using high angle to demonstrate the opening screen.

Go through this entire scene, it is shallow focus. We can see Bride's face very clearly with detail, like blood, eyes, tears, teeth,etc. Also for the shot that unseen Bill walking to Bride, the background is blur.

It is a long take in this scene. Most shots focus on Bride lying on the floor, and there are some actions from unseen Bill. The camera didn't move too much and just stay on Bride's face. Direct want to show the expression of Bride to the audients, and the long take it can be easier to express what Bride's feeling.
Deconstructed Meaning:
This short scene is the opening of this movie. And for the name of this movie is called Kill Bill Volume.1, as we can see in this scene, the unseen person is Bill and we never see his face during the whole movie. Therefore it is a question that why Bride want to kill Bill. However, the opening show to us Bride is killed by Bill, maybe the director use the whole movie ending to become an opening. Leave the question to audients and attracted them to watch the whole movie to find out the answer.
