Mise-en-scene: This scene was set in the hospital. The main charter are comatose in the bed .Elle Driver dressed as a nurse, hand-held syringe sneak into the bride’s room, going to kill her in her sleep. In this scene we can tell that Elle are bad guy, she is going to kill the bride, because they didn’t kill her at the wedding. In the final critical moment, Bill personally ordered to stop her.

Colours: The colours are almost white because they are in hospital, it is also give the audience a kind of cold and danger feeling about what is going to happen to the bride.

Sound: The sequence use a light sound, first the sound is like whistle feels like Elle are in good mood, and then some music with the whistle and we can hear it become heavy and heavy when Elle have the syringe ready walk to bride’s room. There is no expression on her face; it shows us that Elle here to kill the bride and the devil side of her.

Music: On the two soundtracks, music ranges from country music to selections from the Spaghetti Western film scores of Ennio Morricone. Bernard Herrmann's theme from the film Twisted Nerve is whistled by the menacing Elle Driver in the hospital scene. I think it fit very well in this scene because it shows for Elle she is happy and felt easy to kill the bride when she comatose. But for the Bride is more and more danger of Elle is getting close. But she can do nothing about it.

Dialogue: no dialogue

Lighting: It is an interior scene that appears to use artificial light. And we can also tell it’s at night-time, because the light is not strong.

Character relationships (proxemics): in this scene we can know that this two people are not in a good relationship, because one of them are going to kill another one when she still comatose. It also make us to think what happen between these two people.

Character movements: one character just lying on the bed and the other one is dressed up as a nurse and get everything ready to kill the bride. She is move within the frame of the shot.

Time: The duration of each shot is about 5 seconds, but for Elle is bit fast, because she need to getting everything ready.

Editing style: it uses a combination of the two. Editing like that is because it wants to show audience both side of what is going on.

Transitions: The transition used between shots is the jump-cut, when you skip straight from one scene to another.

Camera movement: The camera moves. The type of movement is tracking motion (using a dolly). The camera move to follow the characters when she walk to bride’s room.

Depth of field: It’s only the foreground in focus. We can see bride’s face hand but not everything in her room. We can see Elle’s syringe her face her feet when she dressing up. We can see Elle hold the syringe walk to bride’s room but we can see the details of the corridor.

Total composition: The meaning of the whole sequence is telling us the bride is not dead yet. Elle is going to kill her. And also tells Elle is what kind of person, shows the reason why when bride wake up she wants to kill all this five people. And shows the relationship of Elle and bride.
